Finger Lakes - New York State
Grape Variety - 100% Cabernet Franc
Alcohol - 13% abc
Wine Details - Cabernet Franc is a speciality in the Finger Lakes and this particular wine, aged for 14 months in old oak, is the perfect example of the delicate expressions that this varietal and region can produce. A light and elegant Cabernet Franc, that would be the perfect accompaniment to a summer day, and could even be served chilled.
Tasting Note - Light in colour with a wonderfully aromatic nose of bing cherry and leading to a ripe palate of raspberry and blackberry with a touch of vanilla. Where many light red wines are green and astringent, this wine has a lovely ripe fleshiness to balance the refreshing acidy. The perfect summer red wine
