Tantalus - Pinot Noir - 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia

Grape Variety - 100% Pinot Noir

Wine Details - One of the most established and respected wineries in British Columbia. Tantalus’ winemaking philosophy is centred around the concept of terroir, or sense of place. All of our wines are made from fruit sustainably grown at our estate vineyard. A non interventionist approach to the winemaking process allows each wine to convey the fine quality and unique character of this historic vineyard. Superb winemaking combined with outstanding fruit consistently produces one of the bench mark wines in Canada.

Tasting Note - A lovely lifted perfume defines this vintage. Aromas of violets and raspberry compote give way to a touch of earth and a hint of spice. The palate shows both power and delicacy with flavours of brambleberry, chokecherry and plum. Firm, yet forgiving tannins sculpt the mouth feel and offer a lingering finish.
