Tantalus Pinot Noir 2013

Okanagan Valley - British Columbia

100% Pinot Noir

Wine Details - The very best Pinot Noir blocks were handpicked into 30 pound totes and vinified in small lots, using a combination of native and non-native yeasts. The small batches were then placed into a selection of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months and blended just prior to bottling in September 2013

Tasting Note - Deep and brooding, this wine juxtaposes sweet berry and lifted floral aromas against notes of fresh wet earth and mushroom. Hints of anise and fennel round out the complex aromatic profile. The earthy character follows through on the palate along with Black Doris plum, chokecherry and dark chocolate. The finish is long and structured with a vein of minerality and promises a long, age-worthy life for this wine
